The method focuses on meaningful communication, learner interaction, authentic situations, pair and group activities, role-play, discussion and problem-solving tasks. The literature review demonstrates that contemporary language education increasingly emphasizes communicative competence rather than the mechanical memorization of grammatical structures. The article discusses the theoretical foundations of CLT and its practical application in English language classrooms, particularly for learners who need English for academic, professional and everyday communication. The study concludes that systematic use of communicative activities can create opportunities for learners to use English purposefully and develop fluency, interactional competence and confidence.
